What does it mean to use some of your unpaid royalties to get a service (like a Shelf advertising spot or TranslateAI) on Leanpub?

We let Leanpub authors get Shelf spots for their books on our homepage, and sponsored spots in our email newsletter sales, as well as Leanpub Author Services, by using their unpaid royalties!

This is a great way to accelerate your path to a self-funded book, one that generates enough revenue on its own to pay for its future growth through advertising and new translations.

Please see section 11.3 of our Terms of Service, "Deducting Platform Costs from Royalties", for the details of how this works.

To learn how to get Leanpub services using your unpaid royalties, please see this article.
