You can make a purchase without VAT being added, if you enter a valid VAT number when you make the purchase.
After you complete your purchase, you can add information to your purchase record and send yourself a custom invoice, including things like your company details and other information.
Removing VAT from the Purchase Form Using a Valid VAT Number
When you go to the page to complete a purchase, select the box "I'm Purchasing as a Business":
After your select the box "I'm Purchasing as a Business", you can enter your business name and your VAT number:
If the number is valid, VAT will be removed from the price to be charged.
Creating a Custom Invoice with Your Company Information
Please note that after you make a purchase, you can edit the purchase record in your Leanpub account, and send yourself a new invoice for the purchase via email, including your company name and address, and other information, such as your VAT number.
You can also save your company information so it will be applied to the receipts for all future purchases from your Leanpub account.
