More Information About This Feature
In the past, when someone clicked the button to complete a Leanpub purchase, and they weren't signed in to their Leanpub account, we sent them an email with a "verification code" to complete their purchase.
This meant that in order to complete your purchase, you needed to check your email, copy the code, go back to your web browser, paste in the verification code you copied from the email, and click a link to proceed.
We decided it would be much easier to just let you download your purchases from the browser right away, and at the same time, give you a "magic link" to click in the receipt email we send to you, so you can confirm your purchase in just one step.
Here's what the confirmation link in the email will look like:
Clicking this "magic link" in the receipt email confirms it was really you who made the purchase, and signs you in to your Leanpub account.
"Magic links" like this are becoming more standard on the web; only someone with access to the email address can access the link, just like with the old verification codes.
