What is a Guest Purchase?
At Leanpub, we let you complete a purchase even if you are not signed in to your Leanpub account.
If you're new to Leanpub, here's how this works: we automatically create an account for you when you make your first purchase. This is done so that you can always access the latest version of your purchases. (Leanpub books and courses are often published in-progress by their authors, and can be updated at any time.)
This is called a "Guest Purchase". We want you to be able to buy books and courses from Leanpub without having to worry about signing in every time.
People use lots of different devices and web browsers etc., and signing in on every different device and browser just to complete a purchase can be annoying.
So, we let you complete a guest purchase when you are not signed in. Like with a normal purchase, you will receive an email with download links and an attached PDF invoice.
But unlike a normal purchase, there's on more step required to fully complete a guest purchase!
Confirming a Guest Purchase from the Purchase Email
After you make a guest purchase, you need to click a confirmation link in the purchase email, to verify it was you that made the purchase, and to add it to your account.
After you have clicked the confirmation link in the email, the purchase will be added to your Leanpub account, and you will see it in your Leanpub library and in your list of purchases.

You can add the purchase to your account on your Guest Purchases page any time here:
This method for confirming a Guest Purchase can be used even after the guest purchase confirmation link in your purchase email has expired.
