If you have chosen to justify your text, and you have chosen a small page size for your PDF, then you may end up with larger spaces between words than you may like.
This can sometimes appear to be "two spaces after every period", but it's actually affecting the spacing more generally than that.
If you want to keep the text justified, there are three ways to mitigate this issue:
1. Choose a bigger PDF page size.
2. Choose a smaller font.
3. Decrease the margin width.
