There is a global setting for code snippet line numbering on the course Theme.

If you select a Custom theme, you’ll see this option:

If you un-tick the box, and scroll to the bottom and click “Update Theme”, then the next time you preview your course, the code snippets should no longer be numbered.

The course Themes page can be found on the course Overview page under Settings:
