How you update your book depends on whether you are using our Upload writing mode, or one of our plain text writing modes (writing in your web browser, or on GitHub or Dropbox).

How to Publish a New Version in the Upload Writing Mode
If you're using Leanpub's Upload writing mode, where you upload ebook files you have created yourself, all you need to do is upload a new file.
To upload a new ebook file, go to the "Upload" page for your book here:
https://leanpub.com/YOUR_BOOK/settings/upload
...making sure to replace YOUR_BOOK with your book's unique web address.
You can also find the "Upload" page on your book's "Overview" page:
Drag your ebook file onto the "Upload Your Book Files" box, or click on the box to select the file from your computer:
That's it! Leanpub will run a quick virus scan of the file, and once it's complete, your book will be updated.
How to Publish a New Version in a Plain Text Writing Mode
To publish a new version of your book, go to the "Publish" page for your book here:
https://leanpub.com/YOUR_BOOK/settings/publish
...making sure to replace YOUR_BOOK with your book's unique web address.

Next, scroll down to the bottom of the page and click the "Publish Book" button:
If you're publishing a new version with a significant amount of new contact, we recommend you contact your readers to let them know! Please see this article to find out how you can contact your readers.
