I'm using the Upload writing mode. How do I upload a sample book file that people can read before buying the book?

If you're using our Upload writing mode, it's easy to publish sample version of your book, so people can get an idea of what your book is like, before they decide to buy it.

To upload a sample version of your book, go to the "Upload" page for your book here:

https://leanpub.com/YOUR_BOOK/upload

...making sure to replace YOUR_BOOK with your book's unique web address.

Scroll down to the "Upload Your Sample Book Files" section:

Next, upload your sample ebook file or files:

When you publish your book, or if it is already published, you will then see that readers can download a copy of the sample book from your book's landing page, under the pricing sliders:

OK, that's it!
