This is probably happening because your book is an Upload mode book, and our Publish on Amazon service is only for Leanpub-generated books.
There are two main reasons our Publish on Amazon service is only available for Leanpub-generated books (i.e. books written in plain text, in our Markua book formatting syntax):
1. Amazon has pretty strict formatting requirements for print books, and if your ebook file is not generated by Leanpub, we cannot ensure that all of those requirements will be met by your uploaded ebook file.
2. The ebook needs to be in EPUB, and quite often with Upload mode books only a PDF is uploaded.
Publish on Amazon: This service is for authors who want their Markua or Leanpub Flavoured Markdown books published on Amazon by Leanpub, with Leanpub doing all the work. Learn more here.
