IF you've already got a working or completed manuscript, the best way to start is with our Convert to Markua service. If you email the team at hello@leanpub.com attaching a copy of your manuscript in Word (or any other ordinary format), we can give you a quote. The Convert to Markua service is explained here: https://leanpub.com/convert_to_markua/buy.
(Most books in Word that are of reasonable length and complexity cost between $249 and $349 for us to convert into Markua for you. But some authors do a lot of complex stuff with Word, so we always like to give a quote first. If you agree with the quote, we'll send you a Stripe invoice which you can pay, and then we'll get the conversion done within about 1-2 weeks.)
The output of the Convert to Markua process is a PDF and EPUB ebook which is previewed on Leanpub, for your review. It will look like the many other Leanpub books which were generated on Leanpub. Assuming you're happy with the layout etc., you can just click one button to publish it as an ebook in our store.
Then, at that point, you can choose whether to use our TranslateAI and/or our CourseAI services, to have us generate translations and courses from it.
For non-English books, the service that we strongly recommend starting with is TranslateAI into English. The English language market for books is the largest single-language market there is, and translating your book into English is potentially a very high return on investment thing to do.
With translations, the price depends on the length of the manuscript.

"The base price of TranslateAI is $349. However, if your book is over 40,000 words, we also charge one cent ($0.01) per word after the first 40,000 words, rounded up to the nearest $1."
Here's our current guidance on pricing for CourseAI:
"The base price of CourseAI is $799. However, if your book is over 40,000 words, we also charge one cent ($0.01) per word after the first 40,000 words, rounded up to the nearest $1."
