I've been reading a Leanpub book on Kindle and saved lots of highlights and notes. Can I update the book on Kindle, or do I have to replace it and lose my highlights and notes?

You can't ""update"" a Leanpub book on Kindle, sorry - but at the same time, downloading a new copy shouldn't replace the old one, so you should retain the old copy with your highlights and notes.
