For a crosslink to a chapter heading, first you set the destination, like this:

{#chapterthree}
# Chapter Three

To link to this destination in a sentence, you would do this:

Click [here](#chapterthree) to go to chapter three.

Troubleshooting Crosslinks

Managing crosslinks sometimes can be tricky, and there are some known issues.

For example, under rare circumstances, you may see error messages about crosslinks in the email you get when you successfully create a previews, when the crosslinks all work fine in the book. (You can just ignore these error messages when this happens.)

Here is a thread from our Authors Forum with some helpful feedback from other Leanpub authors who have shared their feedback on this and other issues:

If you come across any new or related crosslink issues, please add a reply to that post on the Authors Forum with the details of the issue, or email the team at hello@leanpub.com.
