I have a Free plan membership. Do I need to sign up for a paid monthly plan to write a book?

First, you can write a book with any plan (Free, Reader, Standard or Pro).

Some of the writing modes work with all plans (specifically, the in-browser and upload modes), whereas the cloud writing mode (which includes GitHub and Dropbox support) requires a Standard or Pro plan.

If you want a Standard or Pro plan, you can buy a monthly, annual or lifetime membership here: https://leanpub.com/membership

Our Lifetime Memberships are a great deal, as you pay once and get all the Standard and Pro features going forward, with no monthly payments, price increases etc.

If you have any questions about memberships, please email us at hello@leanpub.com.
